On January 20, the Ukili Ybyrai Akmola Regional Philharmonic hosted a musical evening titled “Романтика романса.” The program focused on the romance genre and featured lyrical works expressing deep emotion and refined musical expression.

The Philharmonic’s soloists performed works by Russian and international composers, accompanied by guitar and piano. The accompanists for the evening were Olga Gergel, Natalya Gritsayeva, and Alibek Akhmalishev.

The program included performances by leading soloists of the Philharmonic, prize winners of national and international music competitions, as well as the Philharmonic’s chamber choir conducted by Galina Kolesnikova.

Musicologist Yulia Nikitenko provided brief introductions to each piece, offering historical context and insights into the composers’ musical style and creative background.

Presented in a music café format, the evening created a warm and relaxed atmosphere, allowing audiences to fully enjoy the live performances and the romantic spirit of the program.
