On October 21, as part of the opening of the 79th concert season of the Philharmonic, a concert titled "Öz Elim" ("My Country") was held, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great Kazakh composer, People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR and the USSR, Hero of the Nation, conductor, and virtuoso dombra player — Nurgisa Atabaevich Tlendiyev. The event featured the Kazakh Orchestra of Folk Instruments named after K. Kumisbekov.

The works of this legendary composer are a spiritual treasure that holds a special place in the hearts of the people. Having composed more than 500 original pieces, including music for over 40 plays and more than 20 films, Tlendiyev left behind a rich artistic legacy. His centennial celebration was not only a moment of remembrance, but also a significant cultural event aimed at presenting his legacy in a contemporary context. That evening, the timeless music of the maestro was revived with a fresh spirit. The program featured performances by recipients of the “Excellence in Culture” award Valeria Bolieva and Abilserik Kamashev, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Jamila Zharkymbayeva, traditional singer Sarsenbay Khasenov, laureate of the “Shapagat” state award Ayakoz Kalmaganbetova, and national competition winners Serikbolsyn Bekmoldin and Amangali Zhumatay, who performed the musical masterpieces of Nurgisa Tlendiyev. The guest of honor was Honored Artist of Kazakhstan, honorary citizen of Almaty and Zhetysu region, and recipient of the “Enbek Adamy” (Labor Person) badge, Tursynkhan Karakozhaeva, who presented Tlendiyev’s work “The Nature of Abai” (Abai Tabigaty) to the audience. Additionally, accompanied by the orchestra, Altynshash Khasenova performed “Balapandarym” on the saz syrnay, Abilserik Kamashev performed “Kóńildi Bíkesh” on the dombra, and Ruslan Koishybayev and Sayat Babaev, both recipients of the “Excellence in Culture” award, gave an expressive performance of “Alqissa.” The audience also enjoyed the dance “Kósh Keruen” performed by the “Gakku” dance ensemble.
