On April 9, a creative evening titled “Zharygym-ai” by composer and Honored Worker of Culture Bolat Esmukhanov took place, accompanied by a pop wind orchestra under the direction of conductor Alikhan Idrissov.
The concert offered audiences a journey into the rich and expressive creative world of the composer, whose distinctive voice has become an integral part of Kazakh musical art. Among the highlights were Esmukhanov’s songs “Arman,” performed by Altynbek Bektemir, and “Sagynysh,” performed by Aray Bukayeva and Alan Bektemirov, both warmly received by the audience.
The program also featured songs set to the poetry of renowned writers, performed by the Philharmonic soloists: Honored Cultural Figure and recipient of the “Halyk Algysy” medal Zhanat Esov, Honored Worker of Culture Lyazzat Edrissova, recipient of the state award “Shapagat” Ayakoz Kalmaganbetova, as well as Serikbolsyn Bekmoldin, Saida Sagdi, Inara Mukusheva and Amangali Zhumatayev.
Each performance conveyed subtle emotional nuances, deep reflections of the human soul, and a heartfelt love for the homeland.
One of the most touching moments of the evening was the performance by the composer’s spouse, labor veteran Mara Esmukhanova. Her rendition of “Sen kinali emessin” (lyrics by Tumanbay Moldagaliyev), the duet with Zhanat Esov “Auylga ketkim keledi” (lyrics by Almas Temirbay), and “Kyzgaldak” (lyrics by E. Bayatuly) deeply moved the audience.
The family’s shared devotion to art and their creative harmony enriched the evening, turning it into a meaningful and memorable cultural event.
Filled with beautiful music and sincere emotion, the concert left a lasting impression and offered the audience a profound sense of spiritual fulfillment.
