On November 18, at the Akmola Regional Philharmonic named after Ukili Ybyrai, fragments from the opera *Kyz Zhibek* were performed as part of the 120th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding composer and People’s Artist of the Kazakh SSR, Yevgeny Brusilovsky. Excerpts from *Kyz Zhibek*, regarded as a gem of Kazakh opera art, were presented by the philharmonic’s soloists and the chamber choir accompanied by the Kazakh Orchestra of Folk Instruments named after K.
