In January 2026, artists of our Philharmonic — the Chamber Orchestra and the dance ensemble Gäkku — took part in one of the largest international music forums, the Lakshminarayana Global Music Festival 2026, traditionally held in India and bringing together performers from many countries around the world.

The festival spans several major cultural centers of the country and is designed as a large-scale concert tour. This year, performances took place in New Delhi, Chandigarh, Kolkata, and Chennai, with the final concert of the festival tour held in Bengaluru, where the forum’s culminating program was presented.

The participation of Kazakhstani artists became part of an international dialogue aimed at fostering cultural exchange and strengthening creative ties between countries. The concert programs attracted great public interest and received a warm response from both Indian audiences and the professional community.

The Lakshminarayana Global Music Festival is rightfully regarded as one of the most prestigious international platforms where classical and contemporary music, national traditions, and new artistic forms come together in a shared artistic voice. For our artists, participation in the festival was an important professional experience and an opportunity to present the musical art of Kazakhstan on the world stage.
