On May 26, the Akmola Regional Philharmonic named after Ükili Ybyrai hosted the concert “White Roses” as part of the “Beloved and Legendary” project, dedicated to the music of the iconic Soviet pop group Laskoviy May.

The artistic director and chief conductor of the program was Honored Cultural Worker Yernazar Urazalin. The conductor and arranger was Alikhan Idrisov.

The concert transported the audience back to the nostalgic atmosphere of the 1980s and 1990s, bringing to life the songs that became the soundtrack of an entire generation. Accompanied by the Philharmonic’s Pop and Wind Orchestra, the soloists performed the group’s most beloved hits, including Sedaya Noch (“Gray Night”), Mayskiy Vecher (“May Evening”), Stary Les (“Old Forest”), A Ya Tak Zhdu (“I’m Waiting So Much”), Pro Belye Rozy (“About White Roses”), Glupye Snezhinki (“Silly Snowflakes”), Ne Spor So Mnoy (“Don’t Argue with Me”), Zvyozdnaya Noch (“Starry Night”), Zapishi Moy Golos Na Kassetu (“Record My Voice on a Cassette”), Zabud Ego, Zabud (“Forget Him”), Detstvo (“Childhood”), Ne Boysya (“Don’t Be Afraid”), Rozovyy Vecher (“Pink Evening”), and Belye Rozy (“White Roses”).

These timeless songs resonated deeply with the audience, reviving cherished memories and evoking a sense of nostalgia. The harmonious blend of live music, expressive vocals, and vibrant choreography created a memorable atmosphere, offering spectators an evening filled with warmth, emotion, and unforgettable impressions.

The concert once again demonstrated the enduring popularity of Laskoviy May and confirmed the lasting place of its music in the hearts of several generations of listeners.
