On April 27, the festive concert «Айшуақ би керуені» dedicated to International Dance Day was held by the “Gäkku” dance ensemble.

One of the leading professional dance groups of the Akmola region, international competition laureate “Gäkku” ensemble, led by «Мәдениет саласының үздігі» Gulmira Ordabayeva, has been successfully promoting Kazakh choreographic art on international stages for many years. The ensemble is known for its high level of performance, stage culture and skillful combination of national traditions with modern choreography.

The concert program featured both Kazakh national dances and dances of different nations of the world. The audience enjoyed Gulmira Ordabayeva’s choreographic productions «Желсіз түнде, жарық ай», «Көңілді бикеш», «Сағыныш», «Қызғалдақтар», «Libertango», «Лола», «Ханша рухы», as well as Z. Äzhibekova’s «Аққу» and «Сыйлық», A. Temirgazina’s «Құм алқабы» and «Тамға», A. Turakhanova’s «Әке туралы жыр», the Azerbaijani dance «Suzen kizlar», the Uyghur dance «Зарифә» and the Kyrgyz dance «Аян».

A special highlight of the evening was the choreographic composition «Shanti Priya» by Gulmira Ordabayeva, created to the music of renowned composer Dr L. Subramaniam.

The audience also warmly welcomed solo performances by the ensemble’s dancers accompanied by instrumental musicians.

The concert additionally featured performances by the chamber choir and the “Amanat” dance school.

The evening became a bright cultural event that celebrated the beauty and expressive power of dance art.
