On September 24, a concert titled "Qaldyrǵan änim amanat" ("The Song I Left is a Legacy") was held at the Akmola Regional Philharmonic named after Ükili Ybyrai. The event was dedicated to the 165th anniversary of one of the founders of the Arkalyk vocal tradition and an outstanding talent who left an indelible mark in the history of Kazakh art — Ükili Ybyrai.
At this musical evening dedicated to Ükili Ybyrai — a man who elevated Kazakh national art to a professional level and laid the foundation for traditional music — the audience was presented with the finest pieces of the beloved artist’s creative legacy. The concert opened with the performance of N. Bekenov’s composition *"Ükili Aqzhelen"*, played by the Kazakh Folk Instruments Orchestra named after K. Kumisbekov and the *Gakku* dance ensemble. The concert, where the crown jewel of Kazakh art — traditional vocal music — took center stage, brought together prominent artists from across the country: – Honored Artists of Kazakhstan: Galym Mukhamedin (Zhezkazgan) and Bisara Makenova (Kokshetau); – Honored Cultural Worker of Kazakhstan: Nurbolat Arzamasuly (Astana); – Cultural Excellence Award holder: Medet Osatayev (Karaganda). Also featured in the program were the creative groups and soloists of the philharmonic: – The Kazakh Folk Instruments Orchestra named after K. Kumisbekov (artistic director and chief conductor — Ruslan Koishybayev, holder of the Cultural Excellence Award); – Recipient of the *People's Gratitude* medal: Zhanat Yesov; – Recipient of the *For Labor Merit* medal: Elmira Tuleubayeva; – Recipient of the *Mercy (Shapagat)* medal: Ayakoz Kalmaganbetova; – Laureates of national competitions: Sarsenbay Khasenov and Zamzagul Smagul.
