On April 23, the House of Culture of the Burabay district hosted the solo concert «Кел, Бурабайға» by the recipient of the state award «Шапағат» Aikoz Qalmaganbetova.

The concert was accompanied by the K. Kumisbekov Kazakh Folk Instruments Orchestra and brought together national and classical music traditions in one evening.

The program featured Kazakh and international classical works, as well as retro songs. Possessing a beautiful lyric soprano voice, Aikoz Nurgaliqyzy demonstrated remarkable professionalism and stage mastery. The audience enjoyed performances of N. Bekenov’s «Туған жер», M. Tolebayev’s «Бақыт вальсі», A. Aitzhanova’s «Көкшетау», E. Khasangaliev’s «Аңсағаным», S. Tursynbek’s «Аққу сазы», Sh. Kaldayakov’s «Кел, Бурабайға», A. Zatsepin’s «Көктем вальсі», the folk song «Ахау бикем» and other compositions.

The singer also performed arias from operas by world-famous composers including F. Lehar, G. Puccini, A. Lara and I. Kalman. Each piece was performed with deep emotion and warmly received by the audience.

The evening also featured guest performances by the singer’s colleagues. Traditional singer and «Мәдениет саласының кәсіподақ үздігі» Särsenbay Khasenov performed T. Rakhimov’s song «Аякөз ару». «Мәдениет қайраткері» and recipient of the «Халық алғысы» medal Zhanat Yesov performed N. Aituly’s «Дариға-дәурен», while international competition laureate Bekulan Erbolatuly performed Figaro’s cavatina from G. Rossini’s opera «The Barber of Seville».

Throughout the evening, national music, classical repertoire and the live orchestra blended harmoniously on stage, creating a memorable and inspiring atmosphere for the audience.
