On February 26, the Akmola Regional Philharmonic named after Ükili Ybyrai hosted for the first time a concert by the Chamber Ensemble of Kobyz Players titled “The Light in Which Music Lives…”

The камерный evening captivated the audience with its atmosphere of quiet contemplation, the deep velvety sound of the kobyz, and carefully selected musical masterpieces. Classical and contemporary works, delicately intertwined with the gentle resonance of string instruments, offered listeners vivid impressions and allowed them to experience the subtle nuances and inner depth of musical expression.

The concert featured laureates of republican competitions Serikbolsyn Bekmoldin and Alan Bektemir, as well as dancers of the “Gakku” Ensemble — Almira Zholdangar and Aidana Nurlanova. In addition, Madiar Abai performed a solo piece on the bayan, virtuously presenting Joseph Cosma’s “Autumn Leaves” and Richard Galliano’s “Tango pour Claude,” earning warm applause from the audience.

This chamber concert will undoubtedly be remembered as a meaningful and expressive artistic evening, allowing listeners to hear and feel the inner breath of every note.
