On February 12, a concert titled “Sal-seriler an salgan sulu Kokshe” was held in Kokshetau as part of the author’s project by traditional singer and musicologist Särsenbay Khasenov, organized in collaboration with the Kazakh National University of Arts named after Kulyash Baiseitova.

The special guest of the evening was Professor and musicologist Aigul Baibek from the Kazakh National University of Arts named after Kulyash Baiseitova.

The program was dedicated to reviving the national heritage and passing down the treasures of traditional art to future generations. Students and master’s degree candidates of the university performed on stage, showcasing the richness of Kazakh traditional vocal art. The audience enjoyed timeless masterpieces of the Arka singing school, including works by Ükili Ybyrai, Akan Seri, and Birzhan Sal.

The spiritual atmosphere of the evening was enriched with humorous folk songs such as “53 qyz” and “Naq-naq,” lyrical pieces including “Dolana” and Zulqiya’s song, as well as soulful küis by Korkyt, Yestai, and Abiken. Poetry by Zhumeken Nazhimedenov and Magzhan Zhumabayev was recited, alongside special dedications, introductions, and farewell performances by an improvisational akyn, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

Art lovers experienced a remarkable evening celebrating national heritage through the performances of young talents, immersing themselves in the spiritual depth and beauty of authentic Kazakh art.
