On February 10, the Akmola Regional Philharmonia named after Ukili Ybyrai hosted a musical café titled «Үнді әуендері».

Earlier this year, the Philharmonia’s creative teams participated in the Lakshminarayana Global Music Festival (LGMF 2026) in India, showcasing Kazakh national art on the international stage and expanding their repertoire with new works. At this musical café, they presented their collected musical treasures and fresh repertoire to the audience.

The program featured enchanting Eastern melodies, delicate Indian motifs, and rhythmic compositions, transporting the audience into a unique musical world.

The evening opened with the aria of Kaleda from J. Massenet’s opera “Le Roi de Lahore”, performed by Ayakoz Kalmaganbetova, recipient of the state award «Shapagat». Contratenor Batyrzhan Smakov, laureate of international competitions, performed the aria of the Indian Guest from N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Sadko” and the aria Adario from J.F. Rameau’s “La Galante Inde”. Kazakh Honored Artist Zhamila Zharkymbayeva and Maria Petrova delighted the audience with the Flowers duet from L. Delibes’ “Lakmé”.

Valeriya Boliyeva (Meritorious Cultural Worker) and laureate Bekulan Erbolatuly, accompanied by the chamber music ensemble and chamber choir, performed the rondo “Les Sauvages” from J.F. Rameau’s “La Galante Inde”. Saida Sagdi, Amangali Zhumataev, and Talgat Rashid performed Arijit Singh’s “Tum Hi Ho” to great applause.

The Gakku dance ensemble, led by Gulmira Ordabaeva (Meritorious Cultural Worker), presented a 3-part choreography to L. Subramaniam’s “Shanti Priya”, specially prepared for LGMF 2026, which received enthusiastic audience acclaim.

The concert also featured Olga Gergel, Natalia Gritsayeva (piano), Zhumabike Omarova (violin), Alibek Akhmalishev (guitar), and Ruslan Mukhamedzhanov (percussion).
