On January 27, the Philharmonic Hall hosted a special anniversary concert performed by the Pop and Wind Orchestra, dedicated to two legendary composers — Arno Babajanyan (105th anniversary) and Alexander Zatsepin (100th anniversary).
The concert program featured some of the most celebrated works by Arno Babajanyan, known for his seamless fusion of classical music and popular melodies, as well as iconic compositions by Alexander Zatsepin, whose film music and pop songs shaped the sound of Soviet-era cinema and popular culture.
Renowned soloists performed the composers’ most famous songs, including Lazzat Yedrisova, Zhanat Yesov, Ayakoz Kalmaganbetova, Serikbolsyn Bekmoldin, Alla Besh, Marina Zyablintseva, Saida Sagdi, Arai Bukaeva, Amangali Zhumatay, Altynbek Bektemir, Alan Bektemirov, Anastasia Melnik, and Inara Mukusheva.
The evening was further enriched by performances from the chamber choir and the Gäkku Dance Ensemble, creating a dynamic and emotionally engaging musical experience.
This anniversary concert highlighted the Philharmonic’s commitment to presenting high-quality orchestral performances, celebrating world-famous composers, and promoting cultural dialogue through music.
