On August 10, a special event dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the great Abai took place on the picturesque lakeshore in the city of Kokshetau. The cultural event, titled *“The World of Abai,”* covered seven regions and offered the public an opportunity to explore all facets of the life and work of the great thinker.

The main goal of the event was to revive Abai’s rich legacy and promote his philosophical ideas, poetry, and musical compositions. Professional ensembles from the Akmola Regional Philharmonic named after Ükıli Ybyrai took part in the event: the Kazakh Folk Instruments Orchestra named after K. Kumisbekov, the chamber choir, the “Gakku” dance ensemble, as well as talented soloists. They presented a unique concert program composed of the finest pieces from Abai’s musical heritage. Each performance, each word delivered from the stage conveyed the profound philosophy of Abai—his reflections on humanity, love, nature, and society. The audience had a chance to engage more deeply with Abai’s work and feel the timeless values embedded in his legacy. Exhibitions and literary-musical performances held as part of the event were also warmly received by the public. This cultural event, dedicated to Abai’s 180th anniversary, was not only a tribute to the great poet, but also an important step in passing on his rich heritage to the younger generation, in promoting national culture, and in sharing Abai’s ideas on morality, the pursuit of knowledge, and the value of education. The evening by the Kokshetau lakeshore became a truly special moment—bringing warmth to hearts, depth to thoughts, and nourishment to the soul.
