On May 19, the Akmola Regional Philharmonic named after Ukili Ybyrai hosted the concert “Menin Gashyk Gasyrym”, dedicated to the творчество of poet, writer, playwright and Kazakhstan’s Hero of Labour, Mukhtar Shakhanov. The evening became a celebration of the rich spiritual heritage of Kazakh poetry and music, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
The concert opened with Nurgisa Tlendiyev’s instrumental piece “Ansau”. Throughout the evening, the audience enjoyed some of Mukhtar Shakhanov’s most beloved works, including “Äke turaly jyr”, “Quanýsh valsi”, “Keshikpei kelem dep en”, “Arqalyqtyn aq tany”, “Aq bantik”, “Arys jagasynda”, and “Omir-ozen”. Accompanied by the K. Kumisbekov Kazakh Folk Instruments Orchestra, the Philharmonic’s soloists presented these timeless compositions, evoking feelings of nostalgia and reminding listeners of the values of family, humanity, and love for one’s homeland.
A special highlight of the evening was the performance of Tolegen Aibergenov’s poem “Sagyngysh”, dedicated to Mukhtar Shakhanov and presented by the recipient of the “Khalyk Algysy” Medal, Zhanat Yesov.
The concert featured performances by Kazakhstan’s Honored Worker Zhamilya Zharkymbayeva, recipient of the state award “Shapagat” Ayakoz Kalmaganbetova, recipient of the “Eren Enbegi Ushin” Medal Elmira Toleubayeva, “Excellent Worker of the Trade Union of the Cultural Sector” Sarsenbay Khasenov, as well as Serikbolsyn Bekmoldin, Elmira Kamarnitskaya, Saida Sagdi, Altynbek Bektemir, Inara Mukusheva, Alan Bektemirov, Amangali Zhumatayev and Alibek Akhmalishev (guitar).
The artists performed songs and poetry that have become an integral part of Kazakhstan’s cultural heritage. Decades after their creation, these works continue to resonate with audiences and inspire new generations.
The evening was further enriched by the participation of the international award-winning Gakku Dance Ensemble.
