The “FOLK SHOW” project, presented for the first time in Kokshetau, became one of the most remarkable events in the city’s cultural life. The folklore show program, which has already captured the hearts of more than 20,000 spectators across Kazakhstan, was held on March 4–5 at the Ukili Ybyrai Akmola Regional Philharmonic.
Under the direction of the project’s author and conductor, “Madeniet salasynyn uzdigi” award holder Adilet Azbayev, the K. Kumisbekov Kazakh Folk Instruments Orchestra skillfully combined national musical traditions with modern styles, giving well-known compositions a new sound.
The program featured soundtracks, world hits, rock compositions, traditional kui pieces, and powerful songs that created vivid emotions for the audience. Each piece, performed with the orchestra’s powerful sound, received a new artistic interpretation, strengthening the spiritual connection between the stage and the audience.
The soundtrack from the film “Shal” was performed on the qyl-qobyz by Olzhas Kurmanbek, while the main character was portrayed on stage by Sanzhar Akmaganbetov.
The concert program also featured laureates of national competitions: Serikbolsyn Bekmoldin, Inara Mukusheva, Saida Sagdi, Maria Petrova, Amangali Zhumatayev, Altynbek Bektemirov, Alan Bektemir, the Gakku Dance Ensemble, the Chamber Choir, the children’s choir of the Balakai Art Studio, and the Reverans Ballroom Dance Club.
The evening stood out for its impressive lighting design, dynamic stage production, and the high professional level of the performers.
Thus, the “FOLK SHOW” project, presented for the first time in Kokshetau, was held at a high artistic level, leaving a bright mark in the cultural life of the city and receiving warm appreciation from the audience.
